Under a minimalist appearence, Srone (pronounced Sroon) isn’t only a simple tea tray. On the contrary, created for the tea ceremony, this welcoming object, so cleverly conceived, is thought over as a materialization of the invisible and a passage to the palpable dimension. In other words, when the object held is warm, the black layer becomes transparent and reveals an oriental pattern in thermochromatic ink. Depending on the size of the pattern, the temperature of the container and the liquid becomes apparent and more graspable.
